I've become a sucker for launch shows of movies, seriously. I just got back from watching 'The Amazing Spiderman', in UltraAVX of course. I'm not going to review the movie because I don't see a point in reviewing movies by breaking down the plot, the character, the background story and such. I think I'm going to just give you a précis version of the review (if thats what you can classify it as) - Spiderman (2002) has nothing on this new one. This one obviously has better CGI, but it also has a more 'fun' element to it. The lead, Andrew Garfield justifies the role as a high school misfit who just became the 'Spiderman',
Emma Stone has well, become the love of my life (for the time being). Every else doesn't really matter. The pace of the movie was never 'dull', and kept you engaged throughout. All in all, there was some good laughs throughout the movie. I enjoyed the movie, and that's good enough for me. Seriously - if a movie can entertain you, it's done it's job. This reboot, however does more than just that - it reminds you, the original Spiderman(2002), sucked. We are not going to even talk about the other two Spiderman movies.
Do yourself a favor, if you like this marvel superhero (I know some folks that simply dislike Spiderman, due to their own tingly senses) give this movie a watch. It's a popcorn flick - you'll simply sit back and enjoy the show. As always, watch it in UltraAVX, anything else is just atrocious quality (excluding IMAX).
